This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Implementation Project Manager based in United States.

This is an opportunity to lead software implementation projects for mid-market manufacturing and distribution clients across North America.You will own project schedules, milestones, delivery coordination, and client relationships from initiation through successful handover.The role combines hands-on project management with cross-border collaboration across U.S. and international delivery teams.You will identify risks early, manage scope changes, and keep projects aligned with agreed timelines, budgets, and client expectations.Success requires strong communication, commercial awareness, and the confidence to address difficult issues before they become delivery problems.As a billable delivery role, you will balance project outcomes with utilization expectations while maintaining a high standard of client service.The position offers meaningful autonomy, exposure to complex implementations, and the opportunity to influence how projects are delivered across a growing market.

Accountabilities

  • Set up new implementation projects by confirming project sizing and category, establishing baseline plans, and securing the appropriate configuration capacity.
  • Own project schedules and milestones, monitor progress against baseline plans, identify slippage early, and re-plan activities when required.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for project timing, sequencing, deliverables, dependencies, and implementation expectations.
  • Coordinate effectively with international configuration teams, accounting for time-zone differences and ensuring work remains aligned with North American priorities.
  • Manage project scope carefully by documenting, pricing, and routing change requests rather than allowing additional requirements to be absorbed into existing plans.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate project risks early, developing clear mitigation actions to protect delivery timelines and outcomes.
  • Lead projects through completion, ensuring outstanding issues are resolved, documentation is finalized, support teams are briefed, and all requirements are ready for handover.
  • Maintain strong client relationships while holding stakeholders accountable for agreed commitments and deliverables.
  • Manage billable project activity and maintain utilization expectations alongside delivery responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing software implementation projects for external clients, with ownership of both project schedules and client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site, phased, or complex software rollouts.
  • Strong client management skills, including the ability to communicate difficult news, enforce commitments, and resolve issues while maintaining productive relationships.
  • Experience working within a billable professional services environment and managing a utilization target alongside project delivery responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and risk-management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across clients, delivery teams, and international stakeholders.
  • Based in the United States and willing and able to travel to client sites across North America.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with implementation or development teams located in different countries or time zones is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or related industries is an advantage.
  • ERP implementation experience, particularly with SYSPRO, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Project Operations or comparable professional services automation tools is a plus.
