POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst within the Customer Care & Service – Planning team will play a pivotal role in supporting departmental Financial Planning & Analysis, Budget Planning & Management, KPI management, as well as internal & external reporting activities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain financial tools to analyze the financial performance of the CC&S department, operating budgets, and financial/operational targets
- Ensure robust forecasts are in place having thoroughly investigated the key inputs from each stakeholder
- Participate in the monitoring of key departmental performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Execute period end closing activities and complete month-end close checklists, which primarily involve gathering data and applying forecasting models for accrual and other month end journal entries
- Review classification of expenses and generate necessary reports to facilitate accurate and prompt entry of classifications during period end close
- Prepare valuable research, reporting, and analysis to support management and leadership in identifying significant trends/issues and executing tailored response plans
- Work with various divisions of the LG Global Headquarters (based in Korea) to ensure timely and accurate processing of cost balancing tasks
- Support the coordination and communication of performance towards goals and key strategy action items
- Participate in the synthesization of data points into clear actionable initiatives by applying a sound understanding of key financial and operational drivers
- Support management & leadership in the development/refinement of performance and operational health metrics as well as relevant dashboards to maintain an effective performance management / strategy progress tracking tool base
- Additional duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Korean / English Bilingual Language Skills are required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field
- 1-3 years of working experience, particularly experience being a central piece of strategic decision-making processes is a great asset
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Possess an ability to synthesize datapoints into actionable strategies and initiatives.
- Ability to perform basic research & analysis such as performance analyses, competitive analyses, market analyses, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive nature, positive can-do attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and able to work comfortably and effectively in a group/collaborative setting
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines which can be aggressive at times
- Ability to remain composed and collected under pressure
- Ability to identify improvement points in processes to streamline and optimize
- Quick learner with great analytical skills to understand business drivers and financial trends
- MS Office Proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Note: This posting is for an existing vacancy. The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000-65,000. Actual total compensation may include variable incentive pay. The determination of an applicant's base salary is based on the applicant's skills, competencies, location, and unique qualifications.
