About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Analyst to join a large-scale data and analytics programme within the financial services sector.
This is a hands-on role combining advanced data analysis and transformation with ownership of analytical workstreams. You will work with large-scale datasets, collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders, and support other analysts within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex data analysis and transformation activities across large-scale datasets
- Translate business requirements into effective data and analytical solutions
- Perform hands-on data analysis using Python, SQL, and PySpark
- Support the development and improvement of data transformation pipelines
- Lead analytical workstreams and support or mentor other analysts
- Collaborate with business, technology, and data stakeholders
- Identify data issues, trends, and opportunities and communicate findings clearly
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Python (upper-intermediate or above), SQL, and PySpark
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and data transformation pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Experience leading analytical workstreams and mentoring or supporting analysts
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within banking or financial services would be highly desirable
