Job Description
Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst (French Speaker) | BPCE-SI to join its BPCE SI (BPCE Solutions Informatiques) team, within the IT (Information Technologies) department, to work in a hybrid work model in the Porto office, to join a data team.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and our Data teams (Data Engineers, Data Analysts). To succeed in this mission, you will not just gather requirements: you will actively dive into the data by writing queries and analyzing our Oracle database tables to understand their structure, quality, and underlying logic.
Key Responsibilities
- Write SQL queries to directly query and analyze tables within our database.
- Explore and profile raw data to understand its structure, underlying business rules, and to identify potential anomalies.
- Work closely with Data teams (Data Engineers, BI, and Analytics) to translate functional business rules into technical requirements.
- Draft clear functional and technical specifications (source-to-target data mapping).
- Assist business stakeholders in defining their requirements by providing a realistic view of the data actually available in the Oracle systems.
- Design and execute test plans (both functional and technical data reconciliation).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL (Essential): Strong ability to write complex queries (JOINs, subqueries, analytical functions, etc.) to query databases.
- 5+ years of solid experience as business analyst.
- Oracle Environment: Proven experience working with Oracle databases (using tools such as PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, DBeaver, or SQL Developer).
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data models (tables, views, primary/foreign keys).
- Data Modeling: Basic understanding of data architecture concepts (Data Warehouse, Data Marts).
- French: Minimum C1 level (fluent/advanced) is required, as you will interact closely with French-speaking business stakeholders and write functional specifications in French. A good level of English is also required.
