Advanced Test Automation Engineer (Web & Android Embedded Applications) (M/F/D)

About the Role

We are looking for Test Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of both modern web applications and Android-based applications running on embedded hardware platforms.

You will work closely with software developers, system architects, product owners, and QA engineers to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Our team works on Pre-Recorded Announcement Machine (PRAM) installed in the aircraft cabin. It is used by cabin crew to playback music during passenger boarding & un-boarding, and to play pre-recorded announcements such as flight safety messages during taxi. PRAM interacts with a web interface for content management.

As a member of the Services & Connectivity organization and Cabin Management Systems division, you will play a key role in planning and executing aerospace development projects. You will work as part of a cross-functional team with responsibility for delivering projects from concept and requirements definition through development, qualification, certification, manufacturing readiness, and product entry into service.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Create and execute automated tests for: 
• Web applications and web services
• Android applications running on embedded devices
• System integration and end-to-end scenarios
• Develop test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
• Improve test coverage and testing efficiency through automation.
• Support hardware-software integration testing and validation activities.
• Document test procedures, results, and quality metrics.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
•  3+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes
• Experience with one or more automation tools such as: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress and Appium
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and C#
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools from Atlassian toolset: Bitbucket & Bamboo and JIRA.
• Fluent English (at least B2)
