Are you a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on turning data into business insights? Join Downer's Rail & Transit Systems team as a Finance Analyst and play a key role in driving financial performance, strategic decision-making, and operational excellence across our Queensland operations.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you'll partner closely with operational and leadership teams to deliver budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, performance reporting, and commercial analysis that supports business growth and profitability. You'll also identify cost-saving opportunities, improve financial processes, and help shape informed business decisions through meaningful financial insights
This fulltime permanent position is based in our Brisbane CBD office.
About You:
- Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- 3+ years experience in management accounting, commercial finance, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience within rail, heavy industry or asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
