Job Title: Senior Software EngineerExperience Level: 5-8 years of professional experience in the applicable field.Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Job Summary:The Senior Software Engineer is a fully competent professional responsible for delivering complex software solutions by applying broad and deep knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures. This role involves significant technical ownership, with assignments that demand originality, ingenuity, and the ability to make independent decisions that influence the organization’s projects or clients. The Senior Software Engineer cooperates with Architects to identify reference patterns and best practices and mentors and guides junior or intermediate engineers, providing technical direction and oversight when needed.

The candidate, being in contact with other engineering teams in Europe, India and US, will work to the creation of a microservices architecture built in Java, Spring, React deployed in a container-based environment (Kubernetes) into a cloud infrastructure

Principal Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement complex software systems and applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Apply broad technical expertise to solve advanced problems and deliver innovative solutions.

• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural planning sessions.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Associate, Junior, and Intermediate Software Engineers.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, QA, DevOps) to define and implement requirements.

• Take ownership of projects, ensuring completion within scope, timeline, and quality standards.

• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend enhancements that may have significant business impact.

• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, or frameworks to improve the development process.

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for specific systems, components, or business areas.

• Provide recommendations that influence client deliverables or organizational decisions.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s degree a plus).

• 5-8 years of professional experience in software engineering or application development.

• Proven experience in Java programming especially with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, etc.)

• String experience with API development (REST or GraphQL) and integration projects, with focus on security and performances.

• Proficiency with ORM frameworks and relational databases best practices

• Knowledge of JavaScript frontend frameworks (especially React) is preferred.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.

• Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with secure coding practices and performance optimization.

• Experience in leveraging AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) and apply prompt engineering to accelerate delivery across development, testing, and operations.

• Able to design and build integrations with LLM services and cloud AI platforms, collaborating with Architects and Product teams to embed AI capabilities and agentic workflows into products.

• Good command of English (written and spoken)

• Operates as a senior-level individual contributor with minimal lead-level or middle management intervention.

• Provides oversight and guidance to Associates or Intermediate Engineers.

• Has appreciable latitude for independent action and decision-making on critical tasks.

• Contributes to strategic technical recommendations that impact business outcomes.
