Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst Associate is responsible for supporting the organisation's cybersecurity operations by monitoring systems, identifying potential security threats, and assisting in the implementation of security controls. This role works closely with the IT team to protect digital assets, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with information security policies and best practices. It is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to build practical experience in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor networks, systems, and security tools to detect and respond to potential security threats.
- Assist in investigating and responding to cybersecurity incidents, documenting findings and recommended actions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation efforts.
- Review system logs and security alerts to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
- Support user access management, including account provisioning, permissions, and authentication controls.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with organisational security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and help educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, risk assessments, and security processes.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT team to strengthen the organisation's overall security posture.
- Perform other cybersecurity-related duties as assigned.
