Lead Business Analyst Consultant

India, Remote

Core BA Responsibilities - Contribute to and drive continuous process improvement initiatives to meet evolving business needs of the client's procurement function - Work closely with multiple stakeholders — procurement leaders, category managers, finance controllers, IT, and data owners — to gather, analyze, and define current business processes as well as requirements - Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for the Power BI dashboard, including data model expectations, calculation logic, visualizations, and user interactions - Support the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on budget, including scope management, effort estimation input, and milestone tracking - Ensure requirements issues are tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner via the project's RAID Log and Decision Log - Effectively communicate plan, status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a precise and timely manner across governance forums - Support users' participation in deployments and implementation activities, including UAT coordination, training material preparation, and hypercare support

Required Qualifications

Education Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or Finance also considered)

Experience & Skills Prior experience as an IT Business Analyst — minimum 5+ years, with at least 1 years in a lead - Proven track record of requirements elicitation, delivering BRDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documents for BI dashboard projects - - Good interpersonal and communication skills - Adept at working with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams - Fluent command of written and spoken English and Japanese

- Direct experience with Power BI projects — requirements definition, dashboard page design, data model review, and UAT facilitation - Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills

Nice to have : - Experience with spend analysis, spend classification/categorization, and procurement analytics domains - Experience working with ERP / P2P procurement data (SAP MM, SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement, or similar)

Technical Knowledge - Power BI — strong understanding of data modeling (star schema), DAX measures, RLS, incremental refresh, and report design best practices - Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure) and data flow from source systems into BI layers - Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts - [Nice to Have] Understanding of procurement data structures: purchase orders, invoices, contracts, goods receipts, supplier master data, and material/service categorization [Nice to Have] Familiarity with spend classification frameworks: UNSPSC, eClass, custom category taxonomies
