About the role

Develop, operate, and optimize security solutions for on-premises infrastructure and AWS and Azure environments, including firewall interfaces and automation. Advise application and project managers, handle 2nd- and 3rd-level firewall support and on-call duties, resolve incidents, report on operations, and configure and test hardware.

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and complex IT infrastructures? Do you want to use your expertise to help protect systems and digital services in the long term? In this role, you take responsibility for modern security solutions in hybrid infrastructure and cloud environments and work closely with various IT specialist units. You help us strengthen the security of our systems and purposefully develop our cybersecurity landscape.

How you make a difference

You develop, operate and optimize security solutions for local infrastructures and for AWS and Azure cloud environments.

In this role, you work closely with operational IT security and IT specialists from various units to ensure smooth processes.

You define, maintain and automate interfaces using your network and scripting expertise.

Your area of responsibility includes providing advice and support to application managers and project managers on firewall and security issues.

You process 2nd and 3rd level support cases in firewall operations and provide on-call support.

In firewall operations, you identify, analyse and resolve incidents quickly and regularly compile statistics and reports.

You configure, test and operate physical hardware for existing and new requirements.

What you have to offer

You have an engineering degree in an IT-related field or a recognized qualification in IT with experience in IT security.

You have several years of experience in complex network and firewall technologies, particularly with Check Point and Tufin.

You work confidently with Linux, scripting languages and automation and apply your expertise effectively.

You are forward-thinking, enjoy learning new things and have the drive and determination required to successfully complete special assignments and sub-projects.

You also bring a strong awareness of quality and security and apply the same care to logical configurations and physical hardware, making the best use of your strengths.

You have a very good command of German and good proficiency in English, which rounds off your profile.
