Job Description

The IT Data Engineer-Level 3 is responsible for: working on data engineering pipelines, data modelling, analytics and supporting complex issues. Specifically, data engineer will work to identify data acquisition strategies, design, and develop programs to acquire data into Data Lake/Data Warehouse from transactional systems using various tools and other 3rd party adaptors as applicable; work with data team to efficiently use Cloud technology platforms to analyze data, build data models and generate reports/visualizations; design the flow for data scientists to build the views for ML use cases and for Data Analysts to build reports and dashboards in visualization tools Looker or Power BI; identify, design and develop database artifacts like Tables, Calculation Views, SQL Script Procedures to stage large amounts of input and output data in Data Lake; participate in software development life cycle (SDLC) tasks like status reporting, design reviews and approvals, detailed functional and technical documentation, migration of artifacts to production.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or related quantitative field Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience. Experience designing and supporting enterprise data pipelines and data integration solutions. Experience with cloud-based data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Strong SQL and data modeling skills. Experience with Spark/PySpark, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion, Hadoop, Terraform, or similar technologies. Experience with CI/CD practices and source control tools. Experience integrating data from enterprise systems into analytical platforms.

Preferred

Experience with GCP. Experience with SAP ECC, BW, CRM, EWM, Hybris, HANA, SLT, SDI, SDA, or related ERP technologies. Experience supporting analytics, reporting, ML, and AI use cases. Experience with Looker or Power BI.
