Position Description:
The Product Manager is responsible for guiding the success of the assigned Probe Reprocessing product line, utilizing deep product expertise to make strategic product decisions that drive positive product performance in the market. The Product Manager owns the development and execution of the product portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Service to develop and deliver products which fit the needs of the changing market, implement effective go-to-market strategies to drive sales, and maximize brand exposure.
Your Responsibilities:
Product Portfolio
- Develop near and long-term product roadmap strategies by evaluating the current line and aligning with emerging clinical and geographical market trends.
- Lead organizational alignment during portfolio reviews by effectively communicating direction and objectives on projects on the roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and provide concise product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- In collaboration with Marketing Communications, recommend & plan marketing campaigns to support product line awareness and growth; generating original content as product requires.
- Plan the launch of new products and releases coordinating with cross-functional team for implementation of the plan.
- Work closely with channel management to monitor product delivery and availability globally.
- Lead market and product exploratory activities to include targeted customer listening and external product evaluations.
Product Positioning, Pricing, & Segmentation
- Make financial decisions on products in line with key strategic company initiatives.
- Manage competitive pricing matrix to capture new business opportunities and/or maintain market share while maximizing gross margin.
- Proactively evaluate product pricing in response to positive/negative sales trends, communicating key performance highlights/trends to executive leadership.
- Develop product positioning to highlight key differentiators of products in applicable markets.
- Identify opportunities and implement strategies to improve product hit rate.
Sales/New Business Opportunities
- Produce internal & external product training for multi-channel sales organization, including: direct/inside reps, OEMs and global distributors.
- Create and manage product message map, objection handling, and sales playbook content.
- Collaborate with sales channel managers for new business opportunities, outlying key features & benefits of product(s).
- Strategize with Sales and Marketing for pipeline management and lead-generation activities including trade shows and networking with global associations and societies.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Perform continuous needs assessment and product reviews with leading clinicians through voice-of-customer interactions and trade shows to determine required products to meet market needs.
- Conduct market evaluations of on market products to obtain clinical and technical feedback to support product positioning and growth.
- Monitor global healthcare environment for market, clinical, regulatory changes that may impact future or current product sales.
Operational Excellence
- Navigate product sales & sourcing/manufacturing lead times to ensure appropriate service level for end customers.
- Collaborate with Service and Quality Assurance teams for improved customer care and corrective action outcomes.
- Partner with Regulatory group for registration explorations and submittals.
- Anticipate risks that could threaten product performance or competitive advantage and champion resolutions as needed.
- Provide input and organization to departmental budgeting.
- Spearhead customer communications, notifications and product training.
Additional Requirements:
- Willing, able, and committed to travel up to 20%. Consistent time spent with customers is essential.
- Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements for all healthcare systems (including COVID-19 vaccine, where required).

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of product marketing strategy or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

- MBA, medical device, and/or ultrasound experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical imaging and ultrasound’s clinical utility.
- Working knowledge of hospital environments including organizational structures and administration.
- Global / international business experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated willingness to learn and incorporate AI-tools into daily work.

- The anticipated compensation for this role includes an annualized base salary range of $87,000 - $118,000 plus a 15% variable incentive compensation target. The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top for the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
