Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to industry and design and architectural patterns.

This role is for an Engineer to own and support application operations. Responsibilities include managing multiple daily code promotions across lower environments, lad release management and production deployments, ensuring compliance, stability, and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
  • Software development experience with Python
  • Proficient with (CI/CD) Continuous Integration and Continuous Development best practices
  • Knowledge of github copilot or other developer code agentic tooling
  • Ability to coordinate across many developers and teams
  • Ability to document code architecture and designs
  • Ability to code test tools
  • Assists operations team, handling Application Owner questions and maintenance tasks
  • Documents the Application architecture on wiki, and keeps the documentation up to date with each monthly code release
  • Oversees the Release quality which includes continuous integration builds, unit test failures, and chases developers for test failures and fixes
  • Contributes python tests to increase code coverage, improve integration and regression tests, and improve application quality
  • Attends daily scrums with development teams
  • Manage application releases in coordination with Operations
  • Documents Release artifacts on Wiki

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
