Position Overview
AvAirPros is expanding its Central Region office in Dallas, Texas, and seeking a highly motivated Project
Manager to support airline facility development at various airports across the country. This is a high-
visibility role that plays a critical part in supporting strategic and operational decisions for our airline
clients.
The Project Manager will work closely with airline project managers, and airport stakeholders to ensure
successful execution of the facility development program. This role requires a proactive leader who can
manage scope, schedule and budget for the program through completion, while maintaining seamless
coordination and real-time communication with airline executives. Experience working in both
commercial aviation and construction is required.
Responsibilities
- Leading: leading aviation facility improvement, renovation, and remodel projects, leading design coordination efforts between design team, airport, owner, operations, and stakeholders, leading the construction team tracking and reporting of logistics plans, phasing plans, and construction activities, leading the preparation and support of the construction and development work plans
- Chairing stakeholder meetings and preparing minutes
- Developing strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of scope, schedule, and budget information, including consultation on proposed changes and ensuring proper management of contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and invoices
- Monitoring project construction reporting on progress as well as issues and concerns
- Participating in scheduled coordination, reporting, and strategy meetings
- Working collaboratively with finance to ensure projects are completed within approved costs
Skills and Experience
- Know-how on all phases of construction project implementation and understanding of how to prioritize and problem solve
- Skilled at building relationships, leading teams, and working collaboratively
- Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Developed impressive speaking, writing, and presentation skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Suite, Project Publisher, Adobe Design and BlueBeam
Background
- BS Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
- PMP a plus
- 8+ years working on aviation construction projects
