FUNCTION:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating, producing, and executing creative materials for all Nugget Casino Resort marketing channels including; print, digital, social media, websites, email, digital signage, entertainment, special events, casino promotions, food and beverage, and hotel initiatives.
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for taking projects from concept through final production and assisting with in-house large-format printing, cutting, finishing, and installation of marketing materials throughout the property.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and produce marketing materials including posters, menus, flyers, table tents, invitations, banners, signage, billboards, digital ads, social media graphics, and promotional collateral.
- Create creative materials for entertainment, concerts, special events, casino promotions, food and beverage, hotel, and other property initiatives.
- Develop graphics for websites, email, social media, digital signage, LED displays, and other digital platforms.
- Assist with motion graphics, short-form video, and animated content for digital and social media when needed.
- Prepare production-ready files for print, digital, and large-format applications.
- Operate or assist with in-house large-format printing, including printing, cutting, trimming, mounting, laminating, and finishing.
- Assist with installation of posters, signage, banners, menus, window graphics, event materials, and other promotional displays throughout the property.
- Proofread and perform quality control to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and professional presentation.
- Work with outside printers, sign companies, advertising vendors, and other production partners as needed.
- Maintain Nugget brand standards and ensure all creative materials meet approved guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced casino and hospitality environment.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Casino Operations, Hotel Operations, IT, and other departments.
- Maintain organized project files and follow established production procedures
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or adjusted schedules may be required to support entertainment, special events, and business needs.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Director of Marketing Communications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
A Bachelor’ degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Equivalent experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating professional design and print work may be considered.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of professional graphic design experience, casino, hospitality, entertainment, agency, or in-house marketing experience is required.
- Advanced knowledge of print production, prepress, color, paper/substrates finishing, and file preparation is required.
- Previous experience with large format printing, signage, or production is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or After Effects is preferred.
- Knowledge of digital signage, social media, web graphics, and motion graphics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, branding, resolution, and print specifications is required.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Strong organizational, communication, proofreading, and time management skills is required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
A valid Nevada driver’s license and clean 3-year DMV record may be required for this position.
Nevada Employee Gaming registration is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform hands on printing, cutting, trimming, finishing, and installation activities.
Ability to safely work with large format printing equipment and production materials.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
