Key responsibilities
In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to actively lead and significantly shape projects in the Process Industries sector. As a key to success, you will ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures, regulations, and standards. With your expertise, you will lead the project team, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure that project requirements are met, contractually agreed-upon results are delivered, and the set objectives are achieved.
You will be part of the Process Automation - Process Industries division, which implements automation, electrification, and digital solutions for industries such as metal, pulp and paper, and mining. Close collaboration with the Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Assembly & Commissioning, Development, and Sales departments is an integral part of your work.
Your main tasks include:
- Supporting sales colleagues during the tendering phase.
- Overall leadership and motivation of interdisciplinary and international project teams, as well as establishing a clear project approach, including planning, monitoring, and controlling internal and external resources
- Responsibility for achieving all project objectives, monitoring and controlling schedule, project progress, resource utilization, financial KPIs and quality, in compliance with HSE regulations
- Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and actively managing project risks, as well as ensuring that opportunities are recognized early and pursued consistently.
- Managing formal project acceptance, contract signing, and proper handover to the customer in accordance with all contractual agreements.
- Regular reporting to senior management.
Qualifications for the role
- You have a solid command of project management methodologies and are familiar with the specifics of process automation.
- You bring many years of professional experience in project management and have a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering projects, ideally in the electrical engineering environment.
- Project management certifications (e.g. PMP or similar) are an advantage.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of technical and commercial responsibility.
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or a similar field of study.
- You are fluent in German and English. Additional foreign languages are a plus.
- To support project acceptance and progress on site, you are willing to travel occasionally, including internationally (approx. 20%).
