About the role:

This is a 12-month contract opportunity within Origin Zero’s E-Mobility team, working on the 360EV Platform.

Salesforce carries the commercial core of the platform - CRM, quoting, contracts, billing and asset management - connected to the rest of the platform through an event-driven architecture. You’ll design and build new capability on the Salesforce platform, working closely with the Lead Salesforce Architect, Product Owners, Business Analysts and developers across the platform to estimate effort, assess feasibility and deliver business outcomes.

This role suits an experienced software engineer who works on Salesforce - someone with a genuine development background beyond the platform, rather than a configuration-first specialist.

Why this role matters?

• Origin’s E-Mobility business manages a growing fleet of electric vehicles for our customers, with significant growth ahead, and Salesforce sits at the centre of how that platform runs day to day

• You’ll own initiatives end to end - from design through build, automated testing, deployment and production verification

• The team favours custom, code-led solutions where declarative configuration can’t meet the need, so there’s genuine scope to build rather than just configure

• An early priority is uplifting automated-testing standards across the Salesforce platform, including meaningful Apex, Lightning Web Component and Flow tests alongside end-to-end testing

• Ownership can take different shapes - a testing uplift, a business feature end to end, or bringing a simple architecture to the team for discussion

What will you bring?

• Hands-on Salesforce development experience with evidence of exceptional ability - bulk-safe Apex services, triggers, REST resources, callouts and asynchronous Apex at scale

• Experience with Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, and event-driven integration patterns such as Platform Events, REST/SOAP APIs and Connected Apps

• A genuine software development background beyond Salesforce - professional experience in a general-purpose language such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Java or C#

• A practising discipline of automated testing across the pyramid, including Apex tests, LWC Jest and end-to-end testing with a framework such as Playwright

• Strong collaboration skills - comfortable working across a team that spans two technology stacks, and communicating clearly with architects, analysts and stakeholders

• A Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is well regarded, though not essential
