Full description

WEROCK is a growing company that manufactures industrial computers. Our products include rugged laptops, tablets and industrial computers. We are looking for a WordPress Developer to join our team in Taipei as soon as possible, develop our website and take care of it over the long term. You will develop custom features and plugins, connect WordPress to our business systems and ensure that the website and its extensions work reliably.

This role involves more than completing predefined tickets. You will assess technical approaches, identify potential problems and suggest well-founded improvements. You will build on existing solutions where it makes sense rather than rebuilding them without a clear reason.

The focus is on WordPress, PHP, JavaScript and the Fluent ecosystem. We are looking for a long-term technical addition to our team.

Tasks

  • Develop the website and custom features: Implement responsive pages and reusable components, and develop custom WordPress plugins. These include features for product configuration, quotation requests, and customer and partner workflows.
  • Connect plugins and systems: Adapt Fluent Forms, FluentCart and other extensions we use to our workflows, and develop REST API integrations. Account for permissions, secure data processing and clear error handling.
  • Improve technical SEO/GEO: Ensure that our website is easy to find and delivers fast performance.
  • Take responsibility for website operations: Check updates and changes before release, resolve plugin conflicts and errors, and keep our custom code compatible. Establish practical routines for backups, recovery and monitoring key website functions.
  • Prepare technical decisions: Assess requirements in terms of effort, value and maintainability, document key decisions and suggest improvements. You will agree on priorities with marketing and management.

You will be the main technical point of contact for the website. You will work with the Marketing Manager in Taiwan and the team in Germany. Content, campaigns and visual design are developed in collaboration with the colleagues responsible for these areas; your focus is on technical implementation and long-term quality.

AI-assisted development tools can be part of your work. You must understand and review the code you use and be able to correct it independently when problems arise.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience developing WordPress websites.
  • Sufficient knowledge of PHP and JavaScript to develop and maintain custom plugins.
  • HTML, CSS, responsive implementation, WordPress hooks and filters are part of your day-to-day work.
  • You can work with REST APIs and databases and care about secure, understandable and maintainable solutions.
  • Confident communication in English.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

Additional skills

Experience with FluentCart, Fluent Support, Polylang, Elementor, Kadence/Gutenberg or Bricks is helpful. Knowledge of ERPNext/Frappe, Mautic, Linux, automated testing and technical B2B processes is an additional plus. You do not need to know every product we use already; what matters is your ability to learn existing systems in a structured way.

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work: You will regularly work with our team at the office in Taipei. One or two work-from-home days per week are possible by agreement.
  • A long-term role rather than changing client projects: You will have a permanent, full-time position and continuously develop our own website and its integrations.
  • Technical freedom and direct decision-making: Your improvement suggestions are welcome. You will work directly with the Marketing Manager in Taiwan and the team in Germany and actively contribute to technical decisions.
  • 15 days of paid annual leave from day one, prorated in the first year, increasing with length of service; up to 10 days of sick leave per year at full pay, after which statutory provisions apply.
  • Clear working hours, a culture without routine overtime, and pay or time off in lieu for approved overtime.
  • A performance-based year-end bonus of up to one month's salary, depending on company performance and your individual contribution.
  • We succeed together. That is why our employees share in WEROCK's profits.

Please send us your cover letter, CV and two or three relevant WordPress projects you have worked on. For each project, describe your personal contribution: what exactly did you implement yourself?

Instead of confidential client code, you may submit a clear technical project description. Please also include your location, your work authorization status in Taiwan, your salary expectations and your earliest possible start date.
