Description
PingWind is seeking a Product Manager to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a fully remote position responsible to define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and leadership to align priorities and manage expectations.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear definition and acceptance criteria for user stories and features.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product stability, security, and delivery timelines.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product adoption, reliability, and business impact.
- Drive ongoing enhancements to the product based on user feedback, analytics, and emerging technology trends.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of product, processes, and features for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure the platform adheres to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a small team of product managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or IT project management, preferably with API platforms or integration technologies.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and API management tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects or products in an Agile environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with security, authentication, and authorization standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT) is a plus.
•Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, security, and business stakeholders.
- Experience managing and leading teams
- Previous experience implementing complex API solutions for Federal health clients.
- Previous experience delivering high-availability systems.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Expert communication and client management skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible, able to adapt to different customer groups and expectations

- U.S. Citizenship; Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
