  • Define and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption and data protection, in line with relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Establish cost governance practices together with the FinOps Manager to monitor, forecast and optimize cloud spend.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation practices to improve deployment speed, consistency and reliability.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, software developer and security teams to align infrastructure decisions with product and business goals.
  • Support the Software R&D and Software development team to build robust and scalable SaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Define architecture standards, conduct design reviews and ensure consistency across teams and projects.
  • Guide and mentor engineers on cloud architecture principles and best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate new cloud services, tools and industry trends to improve the organization's technical capabilities.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning, high-availability design and incident response processes.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering or a related senior technical role.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-grade cloud solutions.
  • Primary experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms; AWS experience is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles: IAM, encryption, network security, and zero-trust architecture.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to your industry (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep/ARM).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Go or similar) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, VPCs/VNets, load balancing, DNS).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
