About the Job:
We are currently looking to hire an Analyst, Plant Finance!
Support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and cost control activities for the SLC Plant. Partner closely with the Plant Controller, budget owners, and plant leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and disciplined management of operating expenditures. The position reports to the Plant Controller.
This is an on-site position in our Salt Lake City, UT plant.
This role may be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Partner with the Plant Controller to develop forecasts, monitor spending trends, and manage plant operating expenditures.
- Analyze and communicate operating expense variances versus budget, forecast, and prior-year results, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Support month-end close activities, including reviewing and closing production orders, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and validating financial data for reporting purposes.
- Maintain SAP transactional data and financial reporting systems to ensure data integrity, reliability, and timely reporting.
- Coordinate processing of invoices in accounts payable system related to plant expenditures.
- Review inventory transactions and balances to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Prepare and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to plant leadership to support operational decision-making.
- Support ad hoc plant initiatives and special projects as required.
The base compensation range for this position is $69,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience.
About You:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
- 2 years of strong accounting/financial analysis experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- SAP experience, preferably within manufacturing or plant operations
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles
- Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills
