Role: Senior ETL Developer Team/Project: TMK Core Technologies: Talend, Snowflake, SQL Experience: 6–10 years preferred, depending on relevant hands-on expertise

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior ETL Developer to join the TMK team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL workflows and data integration solutions using Talend and Snowflake.

The individual will work closely with David and other technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Talend.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines integrating multiple source systems with Snowflake.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, transformations, and data processing logic.
  • Implement source-to-target mappings, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
  • Work with Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and data loading processes.
  • Troubleshoot ETL failures, data discrepancies, and production incidents.
  • Optimize Talend jobs and Snowflake queries for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Implement error handling, logging, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with David, architects, business analysts, and other development teams.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, testing, deployments, and releases.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.
  • Follow development standards, security guidelines, and change management processes.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Talend ETL development.
  • Solid experience with Snowflake data warehousing and data integration.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and transformations.
  • Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with data loading, incremental processing, and data quality validation.
  • Experience with performance tuning and production support.
  • Familiarity with version control, deployment processes, and software development lifecycle practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of DBT (data build tool) for SQL-based data transformation and analytics engineering.
  • Exposure to DBT models, tests, documentation, and dependency management.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake optimization techniques and modern cloud data architecture.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience with job scheduling, monitoring, and workflow orchestration.
