Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team to manage, support and optimize an international network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and performance of our office network as well industrial networks (technical and DCS network).
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage cabling, including the identification of UTP cables.
- Collaborate with third parties and various stakeholders in an industrial environment.
- Provide excellent communication and support to internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security across enterprise, technical, and industrial network environments
Qualifications
- Due to the sensitivity and criticality of the environment, we are looking for someone with (at least) 5-10 years of experience in industrial environments (this includes VCA certification).
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions including firewalling, sdwan, …
- Experience with Cisco ISE
- Strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching; BGP, OSPF, VRF
- Experience in supporting enterprise-grade WiFi environments
- Experience and certified with cloud networking technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS
- Certified and experienced in Zscaler technologies; ZIA, ZPA
- Extensive (Legacy) experience with DCS Networks and vendors such as Siemens, ABB, and GE.
- Proficiency in Solarwinds for network monitoring.
- Familiarity with powerplant operations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently to powerplants across Europe.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills to ensure third parties' expectations and understanding of the situation, allowing timely delivery of objectives.
- Proficient/Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in integrating and managing complex network systems.
- Extended experience in challenging a network architecture to meet the applicable security guidelines
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
