About the team you are joining
You will join the Aircraft, Environment and Operations Data team within IATA's P&S Business Intelligence Services department. In this senior role, you will work closely with IATA’s OSS advocacy team, regional commercial leads, product specialists, Sales & Marketing, and the technology partner to deliver the continued growth and evolution of IATA's MRO SmartHub platform. You will have end-to-end accountability for MRO SmartHub as a product and platform, including its vision, strategy, roadmap, commercial performance, P&L, delivery, customer experience, and industry adoption. Your mandate is to achieve the yearly commercial targets while positioning MRO SmartHub as a trusted industry reference to address the industry’s supply chain challenges
What your day would be like
Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap - Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, value proposition, and multi-year roadmap, aligned with IATA priorities and market needs. - Translate customer needs, industry developments, commercial opportunities, and contractual commitments into clear product priorities and measurable outcomes. P&L & Commercial Performance & Strategy - Maintain ownership and responsibility for the product P&L, annual budget, forecast, and financial performance. - Deliver the product against yearly revenue, contribution, customer growth, commercial, and contractual targets. - Define and manage the commercial strategy, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market approach throughout the product lifecycle. - Define value propositions and commercial positioning aligned with ecosystem evolution. - Identify, qualify, and develop new client opportunities and priority market segments with the relevant IATA commercial teams. Product Delivery & Technology Partner Management - Lead end-to-end product delivery, ensuring agreed scope, quality, timelines, budget, and contractual commitments are met. - Manage the technical aspects of product delivery with the technology partner, including planning, backlog prioritization, release coordination, issue resolution, and delivery follow-up. - Lead and manage product evolution initiatives and projects from concept through delivery, ensuring roadmap commitments, business objectives, stakeholder expectations, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes are successfully achieved. - Coordinate with technical, data, operational, legal, procurement, and commercial stakeholders to manage dependencies and support reliable product operations. Customer Value, Experience & Support - Monitor customer usage, user experience, adoption, and feedback, and translate the resulting insights into product development and enhancement priorities. - Define customer value realization frameworks, success metrics, and adoption indicators to demonstrate product impact. - Guide customers through onboarding, data contribution, usage, and value realization, working with the relevant operational and engagement teams. Industry Engagement, Growth & Positioning - Work closely with IATA’s Supply Chain advocacy team to align product and advocacy objectives with commercial targets and jointly deliver the agreed industry and commercial outcomes. - Drive airline, supplier, and partner engagement to increase adoption, contribution, and revenue growth. - Design and steer structured engagement frameworks guiding airline and supplier participation across onboarding, contribution, and value realization phases. - Develop strategic partnerships and alliances that strengthen the MRO SmartHub ecosystem. Represent MRO SmartHub at industry events, workshops, and customer engagements. - Define market positioning, messaging, and commercial narratives to support growth and adoption.
We would love to hear from you if
- have a university degree, preferably in aviation, engineering, information systems, or a related field, with at least seven (7) years of relevant product management experience, complemented by business development or commercial experience in aircraft material trading, aviation MRO, or a related area. - have proven experience within the aviation MRO and supply chain ecosystem, gained through airline, MRO, airline procurement, parts trading or surplus materials management environments. have demonstrated P&L ownership, with strong results orientation and the ability to take corrective action when performance differs from plan. - bring strong commercial capability, including customer development, value proposition design, pricing, contract support, sales enablement, and go-to-market execution. - bring experience managing a digital or data product across its lifecycle. - understand how data-enabled products and digital workflows support procurement, materials management, trading, and valuation decisions. - communicate and collaborate effectively across functions, regions, and seniority levels, and influence outcomes without direct authority in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. - demonstrate strong project‑management capability, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex workstreams, manage competing priorities, and ensure timely, high‑quality execution across stakeholders. - show proven experience engaging with external stakeholders at industry level (airlines, MROs, suppliers, associations).
