Full description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Port Elizabeth team,

  • Plan,

coordinate, and manage facilities-related projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop

project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Monitor

project progress and ensure delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.

  • Manage

project risks and implement mitigation strategies where required.

  • Coordinate

contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare

project reports and provide regular updates to management.

  • Oversee the

day-to-day management and maintenance of facilities and associated infrastructure.

  • Ensure

preventative and reactive maintenance programmes are effectively implemented.

  • Monitor

service providers and contractors to ensure compliance with service level agreements.

  • Manage

facility upgrades, renovations, refurbishments, and improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure

building systems, equipment, and assets are maintained to required standards.

  • Conduct

facility inspections and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Support

operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and

implement operational processes and procedures.

  • Monitor key

operational performance indicators and prepare management reports.

  • Ensure

effective utilisation of resources, equipment, and facilities.

  • Identify

areas for cost reduction and operational optimisation.

  • Assist with

business continuity planning and risk management initiatives

  • Develop and

manage project and facilities budgets.

  • Monitor

expenditure and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources.

  • Review

quotations, tenders, and service contracts.

  • Prepare

financial forecasts and project cost reports.

  • Ensure

procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Grade

12

  • Relevant

tertiary qualification in Project Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Building Services, Property Management, or a related field

  • Minimum 5

years' experience in project management, facilities management, or operations management

  • Experience

managing a team

  • Proven

experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong

knowledge of facilities maintenance and building services

  • Experience

managing contractors, suppliers, and service providers

  • Sound

understanding of budgeting, procurement, and cost control

  • Knowledge

of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements

  • Valid

driver's licence and willingness to travel when required

  • Computer

literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Advanced

Microsoft Excel skills essential
