Full description

SMX is hiring Business Process Analysts to serve as the domain and functional authority for complex Army financial, transactional, and administrative processes. You will guide the extraction of legacy business logic from historical reporting tools and systems, transforming them into configurable modern workflows while ensuring strict adherence to statutory accounting validations, posting rules, and comprehensive audit logs. Your functional expertise will mitigate transition risks and prevent operational gaps during capability migrations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze legacy custom-built database applications and document complex transactional workflows to translate them into platform-independent technical requirements.
  • Identify potential process pitfalls, regulatory constraints, and operational impacts of migrating legacy capabilities out of mature enterprise environments.
  • Map and translate legacy structures, master data configurations, and hierarchical accounting lines from various legacy transactional systems.
  • Define validation rules for critical operational capabilities, including statement of transactions, account reclassifications, and funds distribution.
  • Facilitate workshops with process owners, lead functional testing (UAT), and manage the transition of support responsibilities to long-term sustainment teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • 5+ years of experience in business process implementation and solutioning
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP functional design
  • Experience with Army Business Processes
  • Experience in GFEBS solution design

The proposed salary for this position is:

$112,600—$187,600 USD
