Benefits
Full description
Sweep is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. You’ll own our day-to-day support and device logistics as the company grows.
Climate change is the defining issue of our time. By empowering companies with technology that helps them manage their climate impact, we believe Sweep can make a meaningful contribution to a better future for all of us.
Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?
This is a hands-on, operational role. You’ll own day-to-day IT support and device logistics so everyone at Sweep can work seamlessly. Your job is to keep the queue under control and keep our fleet and users running smoothly and reliably.
You’ll work within the domain of the CTO, collaborating closely with the VP Compliance, IT & Security, and side by side with our IT Support Specialist.
To be clear on scope: this is an operational role, not an architecture, security or management one. Strategy, security and compliance, and long-term projects are led by the VP Compliance, IT & Security. Your focus is hands-on delivery on the ground. We’re looking for someone who is happy to own that operational load over time and to keep improving how we run it.
To be more specific, this includes:
- Owning the IT helpdesk and handling day-to-day support for internal users across the macOS ecosystem, in line with our SLAs;
- Handling full device and fleet logistics: preparing, imaging, configuring, shipping, retrieving, repairing and reassigning Macs and peripherals;
- Running hardware onboarding and offboarding for joiners and leavers, including during peak hiring periods;
- Managing device inventory and stock (spares, accessories, shipping materials) and keeping it accurate;
- Coordinating repairs, RMAs and returns with vendors and couriers;
- Performing endpoint enrolment and management tasks via our MDM;
- Documenting procedures in clear, reusable runbooks and continuously improving our support processes.
That sounds just right for me. What do I need to bring?
Glad you asked. Here are some more details on who we’re looking for.
Qualifications 🏆
- You are a senior, autonomous IT support / IT operations professional who can quickly become fully operational;
- Deep hands-on experience with the macOS ecosystem and an MDM (e.g. Jamf, Kandji or Mosyle);
- Strong track record in device lifecycle, fleet logistics and high-volume helpdesk operations;
- Comfortable working on-site and handling hardware logistics in person;
- Experience in a fast-paced, remote-friendly company;
- Fluent in English and French, with excellent written and spoken skills;
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualities 🧠
- You’re genuinely happy owning high-volume BAU and backlog work;
- You roll up your sleeves and get things done, no task is too small;
- You are reliable, self-organised and comfortable coordinating closely with an existing team;
- You bring all-round communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively;
- You aim for velocity;
- You care about data privacy;
- You care about our mission of creating a better future for all of us.
Copy that. And what’s in it for me?
