Job Requirements n Senior Database Administrator (DBA II) with strong expertise in MongoDB to manage highly available, large-scale production database environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with MongoDB administration, performance tuning, replication, sharding, backup/recovery, security, monitoring, and automation. Experience with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and other distributed databases is an added advantage.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize large-scale MongoDB production clusters.
  • Administer Replica Sets, Sharding, Failover, Replication, and High Availability.
  • Perform query, index, aggregation pipeline, and database performance tuning.
  • Own backup, Point-in-Time Recovery, disaster recovery, and RTO/RPO processes.
  • Implement MongoDB security, RBAC, authentication, auditing, and access controls.
  • Monitor database health and performance using Grafana, Prometheus, PMM, and CloudWatch.
  • Troubleshoot critical production database issues and perform RCA.
  • Automate database operations using Terraform, SaltStack, Python/Bash scripting, and related tools.
  • Support other database technologies including Aurora PostgreSQL, Cassandra, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of Database Administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB administration.
  • Experience managing large-scale production MongoDB environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Replica Sets, Sharding, Indexing, Query Optimization, Backup/Recovery, HA/DR, and Security.
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting and AWS experience.
  • Experience with database monitoring and automation.

Good to Have

  • Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Cassandra, ClickHouse, or Elasticsearch.
  • Terraform and SaltStack.
  • AWS DMS, Debezium, and CDC.
  • MongoDB-to-PostgreSQL migration experience.
