Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Task Order Project Manager to work for our company.
Summary:
- Client Agency is Defense Logistics Agency.
- Serves as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same system) and shall assist the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), the task order-level Task Order Managers, Government management personnel and customer agency representatives.
- Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner.
- Enables delivery teams to adopt Agile methodology and perform development activities.
- Establishes processes for managing a portfolio of work in an Agile way.
- Drives strategic change across the organization for adoption of Agile techniques.
- Embeds an Agile culture using techniques from a wide range of Agile and Lean methodologies and frameworks.
- Enables stakeholders to find accurate and current project or program status, without disruption to delivery.
- Applies the best tools and techniques to team roles, behaviors, structure and culture, Agile ceremonies and practices, knowledge transfer and sharing, program management, cross-team coordination, and overall governance of digital service delivery.
- Ensures key metrics and requirements that support the team and delivery are well defined and maintained.
- Equips staff with the ability to coach others.
Requirements:
- Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Must have Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, other recognized certification, etc.)
- Must have a Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach or equivalent Scrum/Agile Coach certification
- 5 years of relevant experience and 5 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience delivering multiple Agile projects and removing blockers using the appropriate Agile project management methodology.
- Experience defining the roadmap with the Product Owner for any given product and translating this into user stories.
- Experience prioritizing the user stories within product backlog.
- Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience with testing to ensure quality levels.
