Full description

As a Senior Data Scientist at Reserv, you will help guide the trajectory of our data offering and drive growth for years to come. You will play a crucial role on our data science team, collaborating directly with the business to understand our customer’s areas of analytical interest and build modeling to explore these. This position is ideal for a data scientist with a solid foundation in predictive modeling and data analysis and an innovative mindset ready to shape the future of one of the key components of our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hypothesis driven analyses across our customer’s multiple claims portfolios and surface trends that can be leveraged to improve claims outcomes
  • Guide the creation and implementation of both heuristic and complex predictive models, adhering to the principle of "Occam’s Razor."
  • Build and maintain software tools that allow us to scale our insight generation capabilities
  • Collaborate with our customer facing teams to empirically ground our perspective on market trends and insights
  • Mentor junior data scientists and support analysts at customer companies.
  • Communicate technical ideas and specifications clearly and precisely to non technical audiences.
  • Continuously deploy code from day one, influencing and enhancing our engineering culture.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams including product ops, design, and sales as our product and engineering teams expand.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a data scientist with a robust portfolio demonstrating high-quality analysis and modeling.
  • Experience in running end-to-end experiments, including setting up datasets, developing controls, conducting hypothesis tests, running ablation studies, and rigorously evaluating outcomes.
  • Expertise in Python and relevant data science libraries as well as with agentic coding tools
  • Strong software engineering foundation with a commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Proven ability to stay updated with state-of-the-art techniques through continuous research and application.
  • Strong ability to prioritize customer requirements and adapt quickly to evolving project scopes.
  • Passionate about creating intuitive technology solutions and a continuous desire to learn and take on new challenges.
