Overview
CIS Secure is seeking a Journeyman Data Analyst for its Intrepid Solutions operating company to support a mission-critical Department of the Air Force program. This position provides analytical support to Government leadership by transforming complex operational data into meaningful insights that inform strategic planning, mission execution, and resource prioritization.
The Journeyman Data Analyst will collaborate with Government stakeholders, senior leaders, and mission partners to collect, analyze, and interpret information supporting Mission Assurance activities. The successful candidate will develop analytical products, prepare executive-level materials, evaluate operational risks, and provide data-driven recommendations that enable informed decision-making.
This position is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys solving complex problems, communicating findings clearly, and supporting high-visibility Government initiatives.
Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and mission-related data to support Government decision-making.
- Interface with senior Government leaders, mission partners, and capability providers to gather information and support analytical efforts.
- Prepare tasking packages, staffing packages, executive correspondence, briefing materials, and supporting documentation.
- Develop data-driven recommendations, risk assessments, courses of action (COAs), and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses to support mission planning and operational priorities.
- Analyze trends, identify risks, and evaluate opportunities to improve mission effectiveness and organizational performance.
- Produce reports, dashboards, presentations, and other analytical products for Government leadership.
- Support assessment activities by validating data, ensuring information accuracy, and identifying inconsistencies.
- Organize and synthesize complex information into concise, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coordinate with cross-functional Government and contractor teams to support mission objectives.
- Maintain accurate records, analytical documentation, and supporting datasets.
- Protect classified and sensitive information in accordance with Government security requirements.
- Perform assigned duties independently while supporting customer priorities and mission objectives.
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:
This is a full-time onsite position supporting operations at a Government facility within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The selected candidate must be capable of working independently while supporting customer-directed priorities in a classified environment.
TRAVEL:
Limited travel may be required to support customer meetings, mission planning activities, assessments, or other program requirements.
Qualifications
CLEARANCE:
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required at the time of application.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility and any customer-required accesses.
- This position requires work within a Government-owned or controlled Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
CITIZENSHIP:
- Must be a United States citizen.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field.
CERTIFICATION(S):
- No certifications are required at the time of hire.
- In accordance with contract requirements, successful candidates may be required to obtain a Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification following contract award.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) to ten (10) years of professional experience.
- Ability to perform assigned duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support operational or business decisions.
- Experience preparing executive briefings, reports, presentations, and analytical products.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate operational risks and develop practical recommendations.
- Experience organizing large amounts of information into clear, concise products for leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience handling sensitive or classified information in accordance with established security procedures.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force organizations.
- Experience supporting Mission Assurance, operational planning, or strategic analysis initiatives.
- Experience developing dashboards, metrics, or executive reporting products.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Python, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
- Experience performing risk assessments, trend analysis, or operational planning.
- Experience supporting senior executive or headquarters-level organizations.
- Experience working in classified environments.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms is highly desirable.
