The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading provider of property technology solutions in San Felipe, TX and we are looking to hire an experienced and technically skilled Systems Engineer for a new dual-focused on site role.
In this role, you will support the company’s Internal IT environment, including offices, end users, network infrastructure, multiple locations and two data centers, while also supporting the Managed Services team in troubleshooting hotel back-office networks for contracted properties.
The company manages internal IT like a customer account, applying the same ticketing, SLA, and documentation standards used for its clients.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
Internal IT and Corporate Infrastructure
- Deliver timely technical support to
employees onsite and remotely across multiple office locations
- Administer Windows Server (Active
Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP) along with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including accounts, access controls, and permissions
- Diagnose and resolve issues with
workstations, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, and mobile devices
- Maintain Denver and Houston datacenter
infrastructure, including Hyper-V, backup and replication, firewalls, switching, wireless, VPN, and site-to-site connectivity
- Oversee employee onboarding and
offboarding, IT inventory, and hardware lifecycle tracking
- Perform patch management and
preventative maintenance while supporting hardware refreshes, software deployments, and network upgrades
Managed Services
- Troubleshoot hotel back-office
networks, including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, VLANs, subnets, DHCP, DNS, and ISP circuits
- Maintain network segmentation between
guest, back-office, and payment environments according to property and brand standards
- Resolve connectivity issues across
PMS, point-of-sale, key card, security camera, and printer systems while coordinating with vendors and brand support teams
- Provide remote support to on-site
staff and field technicians with varying levels of technical expertise
- Meet service-level requirements while
maintaining accurate ticket updates, time entries, and resolution notes
- Escalate issues to senior engineers,
carriers, and third-party vendors while driving them through resolution
- Support new property onboarding by
documenting network topology, validating configurations, and identifying required remediation
Shared Responsibilities
- Create
and maintain documentation, runbooks, network diagrams, and knowledge base articles for internal and property environments
- Manage
incidents and service requests through the ticketing system with clear and timely documentation
- Coordinate
with vendors, carriers, and third-party providers on technical issues, warranties, and procurement
- Standardize
configurations, monitoring, and support processes while recommending long-term solutions for recurring issues
What We Are Looking For
Experience and Certifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT support,
systems administration, or network administration
- Experience supporting multi-site
environments and remote users across servers, desktops, and network hardware
- Experience with a managed service
provider, NOC, or ISP support organization preferred
- Hospitality technology experience,
including PMS, POS, or hotel lock systems preferred
- Scripting or automation experience
with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools preferred
- Relevant certifications such as
CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Aruba, or VMware preferred
Additional Skills and Attributes
- Strong hands-on network
troubleshooting skills, including VLANs, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, routing, NAT, firewall rules, and VPNs
- Strong written and verbal
communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
- Strong attention to ticket management,
time tracking, and documentation in a service-level-driven environment
