Technical Business Analyst
Overview
We’re seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to support the optimization, enhancement, and ongoing evolution of our current D365 environment and our migration to a NetSuite environment. This role blends business process expertise, system configuration, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure our field operations and back‑office teams are aligned, efficient, and empowered by technology.
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Functional Ownership
- Serve as the primary functional expert for NetSuite, with a focus on modules and related workflows to support our accounting and finance team.
- Configure, test, and deploy NetSuite enhancements, customizations, saved searches, dashboards, and workflows.
- Translate business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions that improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Maintain system integrity by managing roles, permissions, and audit controls.
Operations
- Support and optimize processes including AP, AR, Financial close, Financial Reporting and more.
- Partner with accounting and finance leaders to streamline employee workflows, improve reporting, and enhance accounting outcomes.
- Evaluate and refine end‑to‑end service lifecycle processes to ensure alignment with best practices and system capabilities.
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across finance and accounting.
- Document current-state and future-state processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for automation.
- Develop functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials.
- Lead UAT cycles and support go‑live activities for new features and system updates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business users, IT, and external NetSuite partners.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to end users to drive adoption and system proficiency.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience as a NetSuite Functional Analyst, Consultant, or Administrator.
- Strong expertise with Accounting and Finance and other Netsuite modules.
- Proven ability to configure NetSuite workflows, saved searches, forms, and dashboards.
- Experience with AP and AR Automation and workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- NetSuite certifications (ERP Consultant, Administrator, SuiteFoundation) are a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, and SuiteBuilder.
- Familiarity with integrations between NetSuite and third‑party Accounting modules.
- Experience in industries such Fire and Life Safety, HVAC, utilities, telecom, manufacturing, or equipment services.
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
