Full description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Settlement Specialist to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will be a native Chinese speaker with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills, as this role requires daily collaboration with our China-based technology team and Chinese-speaking colleagues. Candidates with a technical background and advanced Excel skills will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Perform daily settlement and reconciliation of client transactions across multiple financial products. Monitor settlement processes to ensure timely and accurate execution. Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, exceptions, and operational issues. Coordinate closely with internal Operations, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure smooth settlement workflows. Communicate daily with the China-based technology team to troubleshoot system issues, clarify requirements, and support operational improvements. Analyze settlement data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Utilize advanced Excel functions to manipulate, validate, and analyze large datasets. Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in testing and validating system enhancements related to settlement processes.

Requirements Native Chinese (Mandarin) speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Technical background or experience working closely with technology teams is highly preferred. Previous experience in settlements, operations, reconciliation, payment operations, or financial services is preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work with large volumes of financial and operational data. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in fintech, brokerage, CFD/FX, payments, or financial services. Knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, payment processing, or treasury operations. Experience participating in system implementation, UAT, or operational process improvements. Basic SQL or data querying knowledge is an advantage.
