Role Summary
Each day, people download the NOCD app looking for help for their OCD. Many of them are still learning about what they’re experiencing and how to get care.
As part of this role, you’ll deeply understand what they’re struggling with, what may be holding them back from treatment, and what information, guidance, and experiences can help them take the next step. You’ll use those insights to lead and build custom, personalized experiences including product flows, content, and lifecycle journeys that we share via our app and owned marketing channels.
This is a strategic doer role: you’ll define the strategy, build and test experiences yourself, learn what works, and partner across product, design, clinical, and content to scale what’s working. You will have a cross-functional impact across content marketing and product to give millions of people with OCD the understanding, trust, and courage to start evidence-based treatment that can transform their lives.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the journey from when a member joins the NOCD community till they start their first therapy session, specifically focused on reimagining how we help people who are still learning about what they’re experiencing and how NOCD Therapy can help them.
- Dramatically improve how members inside the NOCD community get started with NOCD Therapy by deeply understanding their needs, struggles, and what may be holding them back. Then, design product flows, lifecycle journeys, and content that meet them there and help them take the next step.
- Own the messaging strategy across the member journey and bring a high bar for the exact words, framing, and experience on every screen and touchpoint.
- Lead AI-powered personalization across onboarding, our community feed, and lifecycle journeys so each member receives the guidance and experience most relevant to where they are.
- Own a cohesive experience across product and lifecycle, partnering across the org to ship adaptive experiences and content across the app, SMS, email, push, and in-app messaging.
- Build a rigorous experimentation practice and drive fast learning cycles across the team.
Who you are
- Prior experience across product, marketing, or growth, with experience owning a measurable conversion-focused outcome
- Exceptional messaging instincts and a high bar for how ideas are communicated. You care about the exact words, framing, and sequencing of an experience and have contributed to high-quality content or editorial work
- Experience partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering to build digital tools, flows, or experiences
- Comfortable using analytics tools to understand user behavior, diagnose conversion opportunities, and evaluate what is working
- Familiar with lifecycle/CRM platforms such as Braze and how email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging work together
- Highly organized and business-results oriented — you maintain clear priorities, move work forward, and you lead the reprioritization when the data shows a bigger opportunity
- Passionate about mental health and NOCD’s mission, with an appreciation for the lived experiences of people impacted by OCD.
- Based in the Chicago, IL area and able to work 2 days/week in NOCD’s downtown office.
Why join NOCD?
- Join a mission-driven company transforming access to evidence-based behavioral healthcare.
- Take ownership of a critical growth lever: helping more people understand OCD, engage with NOCD, and start effective treatment.
