Location:

Good Samaritan Hospital at 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly)
  • Day shift, Monday – Friday
  • No weekend and no holidays commitment

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare is required
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience Technical Other Technology is required
  • Knowledge of personal computer applications, databases, and report writing

Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the manager of the Clinical Quality Data Department this position is responsible for design and implementation of data integrity programs and the development and publication of standard and ad hoc reports for end-users. This includes responsibility for quality data submissions to third parties including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), American College of Cardiology (ACC), the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Quality-In-Sights Hospital Incentive Program (Q-HIP), an Anthem program. This position is responsible for understanding the customer needs and processes to ensure maximum utilization of automation and system availability. This position demonstrates flexibility and initiative in seeking and/or accepting additional assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements a data integrity management program which includes inter-rater reliability audits and the use of clinical registry validation tools. Provides education and counseling where necessary for error resolution.
  • Designs, writes, tests and debugs complex data queries to fulfill departmental and organizational needs for information from supported systems.
  • Systems operator for clinical databases, resolve hardware, data and systems problems with the assistance of the IT Department.
  • Develops project and problem solutions with minimal supervision, meeting the goals and objectives of the department and its customers.

Other Related Information:

  • Reports directly to the Manager of Clinical Quality Data.
  • Provides direction in data acquisition and the provision of reports for the Clinical Quality Specialists.
