This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Finance Manager / Senior Financial Analyst based in the United States.

This is a high-visibility finance role within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment, offering substantial ownership from day one. You’ll own and evolve the financial models that support investor reporting, budgeting, cash planning, and strategic decision-making. The role partners closely with senior leadership to evaluate opportunities, manage capital allocation, and navigate the company’s next stage of growth. You’ll also lead organizational budget management, liquidity forecasting, and analysis across new products and business initiatives. Your work will help translate complex financial information into clear insights for executives, investors, and other stakeholders. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on financial modeling, operational execution, and process improvement. Accountabilities:

  • Financial modeling and planning: Maintain and continuously improve the core financial model used for investor reporting, board presentations, internal targets, budgeting, and cash forecasting.
  • Budget management: Own the organization-wide budgeting process, partnering with department leaders to monitor performance, analyze variances, and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Cash and liquidity management: Lead cash forecasting and runway modeling to provide leadership with timely and accurate visibility into liquidity and financial requirements.
  • Debt and capital management: Support the structuring and ongoing monitoring of debt facilities, including covenant compliance, borrowing-base reporting, and lender communications.
  • Strategic finance: Work directly with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, investor materials, operational decisions, and complex financial questions.
  • Investor and board support: Collaborate with the broader finance team to prepare responses to recurring investor and board requests and contribute to fundraising activities.
  • Business analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to assess new products, partnerships, business models, and other growth opportunities.
  • Accounting partnership: Work closely with Accounting on month-end close activities, accruals, department cost allocations, and other areas affecting financial reporting accuracy.
  • Executive communication: Convert complex financial data and analysis into concise, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders, leadership teams, investors, and board members.
  • Process automation: Identify opportunities to automate and scale financial planning processes using modern tools such as Drivetrain and other technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Professional experience: 3–5+ years of experience with a strong foundation in investment banking, strategy consulting, M&A advisory, or corporate finance within a leading technology company.
  • Transaction experience: Investment banking or transaction advisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strategic finance background: Experience in strategic finance or FP&A within a high-growth startup or similarly dynamic environment is a strong advantage.
  • Financial modeling: Expert-level Excel skills, including the ability to independently build sophisticated financial models and multi-scenario analyses from scratch.
  • Accounting knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and the impact of accounting decisions on business performance and financial reporting.
  • Analytical ability: Exceptional problem-solving, critical-thinking, investigative, and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication: Ability to distill complex financial analysis into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations for senior leaders, investors, and board members.
  • Prioritization: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Ownership mindset: A self-starter who can work independently, identify opportunities for improvement, take initiative, and drive projects through to completion.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly and finance plays an active role in shaping business strategy.
