Full description

We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to support the financial planning and decision-making in our business. You’ll be responsible for Sales and Margin reporting across all global channels/markets, working closely with the commercial and customer service teams and key stakeholders within the business.

You'll be analytical (of course) and proactive, able to think outside the box, to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives. You’ll have fantastic communication skills with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment as we grow, scale and optimize for success.

The Responsibilities:

  • Running the daily status report and providing variance analysis to the commercial teams to drive actions in achieving targets when required.
  • Support on the weekly sales flash and trade deck.
  • Update prebook reporting for the various markets
  • Providing open orders, invoiced sales and run rate analysis to commercial teams to facilitate forecasting requirements.
  • Support on maintaining and updating the customer hierarchy in our BI tool
  • Assisting the commercial finance team during month end, preparing journals
  • Assist Commercial Finance Manager in maintaining the global consolidation sales and margin files- ensuring data integrity.
  • Support commercial teams in preparation of Billings and Trade files and quarterly forecasts
  • Provide clearance calculations when required for deal approval
  • Help maintain seasonal reports ( sales/margin/product/channel )
  • Support the Head of Sales & Margin – Commercial Finance on ad hoc requests and continued process/reporting improvements to support the business
  • Develop strong relationships across finance and keep channels of communication open, so that we are reporting accurately and avoiding ‘surprises’.

The Person:

  • Experience of working in a commercial finance function for a retail business. A working understanding of different business models (wholesale, distributor, B2C) would be a benefit but not essential.
  • NetSuite experience is desired but not essential.
  • Have an accounting qualification or part qualified.
  • You’ll be super-analytical, a ‘whizz’ with data and numbers and be able to use this to influence, challenge and support commercial decisions and spot new business opportunities.
  • Strong Excel Skills to facilitate reporting improvements and efficiencies.
  • You’ll be a great communicator; enjoying collaborating cross-functionally and with all levels just as much as you enjoy a good colour-coded spreadsheet.
  • Proactive, curious and focused, you’ll want to make an impact and will ask questions, pull information and bring the right people along with you.
  • Happy working in a fast paced and changing environment.

We recognise that not everyone will meet every requirement. If you’re excited about this role and feel like you could add value, we’d love to hear from you.
