The Product Analyst role works with business partners, wider technology domains and external parties to act as a conduit between the business & technology. The product analyst supports and when required leads the lifecycle for designated products. Their underlying technology sub-systems and is accountable for aligning product delivery plans to enable the business to achieve their objectives & strategic outcomes – from concept through to operations. Product Analysts are to work with the organisation to help stakeholders improve their processes and systems and support the delivery of new features, enhancements and initiatives. They govern service partners to ensure product features are delivered to commitments, meets business requirements and service levels. The Product Analyst has a customer-centric mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.

The Product Analyst role within the B2C AI Team, offers a unique opportunity to help shape Qantas' AI future, working on innovative initiatives spanning Generative AI, intelligent automation, conversational experiences and AI-powered customer and employee solutions. You will play a key role in delivering capabilities that enhance customer experiences, improve operational efficiency and help establish the foundations for how AI is leveraged across the Qantas Group.

You’ll have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in the areas of Business or Systems Analysis, Product or IT Support or related disciplines
  • Degree qualified, or equivalent industry / technical experience and qualifications
  • Proven track record of operating in IT Delivery environments from concept to BAU
  • Basic to Expert (varies by desired level) understanding and use of modern delivery frameworks and their methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, lean, design thinking, human-centred design, multivariate testing, continuous improvement, test automation and others.
  • Experience in security management practices, risk management, vulnerability management and penetration testing.
  • Prior experience with, and strong comfort using, collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence to document and manage stories and other documentation
  • Experience (varies by desired level) in working with data sets to deduce accurate insights
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate across multiple functions and levels
  • Experience in IT Operations and / or working in ongoing product lifecycle
  •  Demonstrated technical expertise, utilising a depth and breadth of knowledge and practical experience within a specific technical area. Stays up to date with regulatory and other change in the technical area, and understands how they apply to Qantas
  • Stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • An interest in emerging AI technologies and a willingness to learn and contribute within a rapidly evolving AI environment.
