About the role
Contractor and remote role, anywhere in the U.S.
As a Solutions Architect Contractor, you are a key member of the implementation project team, responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping clients' technical and business requirements. You will work alongside the Supply Chain Consultant and other supporting team members to deliver a complete solution for the client.
Responsibilities
- Work with the implementation team on solution design and analysis.
- Write technical and functional specifications to match client requirements.
- Consult and share best practices with clients during the duration of the project.
- Write technical specifications for client development and system integration requirements.
- Software configuration, development, and installation.
- Support the UAT efforts.
- Participate and lead internal and/or external project meetings.
- Participate in pre-sales activities and meetings as necessary.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS, or 6 years of related experience.
- 2+ years of experience in configuration and custom development in Blue Yonder WMS or other WMS Systems.

- This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% by airplane and/or car, with overnights.

Contractor Details
This position is intended to be a 1099 independent contractor engagement and not an employment relationship. The individual selected for this role will provide services as an independent contractor and will not be considered an employee of Open Sky Group for any purpose. Accordingly, the contractor will not be eligible for company-sponsored employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life or disability insurance, retirement or 401(k) benefits, paid time off, paid leave, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation coverage, or any other benefits made available to Open Sky Group employees. The contractor will be responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, including self-employment taxes, and for maintaining any insurance, licenses, permits, or registrations required to perform the services.
