Position Overview

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting decision-making across Dutch Bros by delivering thoughtful financial analysis, insight, and guidance to functional teams. Sitting at the intersection of Finance and the business, this role drives core planning, modeling, and interpretation of business results, contributing to an agile, informed, and data-driven organization. Their work is used to assess opportunities, uncover risks, and gameplan alongside senior leadership.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience, required
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, FP&A, or business analytics, required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, required
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with large datasets and financial systems (e.g., Power BI, ERP tools), strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with retail or consumer-facing businesses, preferred
  • Strong business acumen with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with coding languages such as SQL, a plus

Location Requirement

This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Deliver Actionable Financial Analysis

  • Analyze key financial and operational metrics to understand performance, trends, and drivers
  • Translate complex data into digestible insights that inform decision-making and business planning
  • Build and maintain models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and sensitivity analyses
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting on revenue drivers, expense trends, and/or profitability performance

Strengthen Financial Planning Processes

  • Contribute to the development of the annual operating plan and enhancement of financial planning tools, reports, and processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and clarity of financial reporting
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes, as needed

Provide Trusted Financial Expertise to Business Leaders

  • Collaborate with functional leaders to deliver financial planning, forecasting, and decision support
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis that help teams understand performance and stay aligned with company goals
  • Clearly explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders, fostering shared understanding and accountability
  • Build strong, consultative relationships by offering timely, thoughtful financial support
  • Foster trust through open communication, reliability, and a service-oriented mindset
  • Help teams understand the financial implications of decisions and recommend data-informed paths forward

Physical Requirements

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
  • In-Person Collaboration: Must be able to collaborate in person, including participating in occasional impromptu in-person meetings
  • Office Conditions: Ability to adapt to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for extended periods. Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participation in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed
  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to effectively perform job-related tasks
  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed
  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools, such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software
  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in-office communication tools
