Full description

We are looking for a motivated Presales Engineer, based in Greece, who can understand a customer’s technical and business challenges, design the right cybersecurity solution, and communicate its value clearly to both technical teams and decision-makers.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of cybersecurity, solution architecture, product, and sales.

What You Will Do• Work closely with the sales and technical teams throughout the presales lifecycle.

  • Participate in customer discovery meetings and identify technical, operational, and security requirements.
  • Translate customer needs into clear and practical cybersecurity solutions.
  • Deliver product presentations, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Design high-level solution architectures and integration approaches.
  • Prepare technical proposals, solution descriptions, statements of work, compliance matrices, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Explain complex cybersecurity concepts clearly to CISOs, IT managers, security teams, procurement departments, and business stakeholders.
  • Map proposed solutions to relevant frameworks and requirements, including NIS2, ISO 27001, DORA, GDPR, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to validate technical feasibility and communicate customer requirements.
  • Support sales opportunities from initial discovery through technical validation and closing.
  • Build reusable presales material, including demo scenarios, solution briefs, technical presentations, and proposal templates.
  • Keep up to date with cybersecurity technologies, market developments, competing solutions, and emerging threats.
  • Provide structured handover to delivery and implementation teams after an opportunity is won.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT solutions, technical consulting, systems engineering, or a presales-related role.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity technologies and concepts.
  • Ability to understand customer environments and design appropriate technical solutions.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both highly technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience preparing technical proposals, presentations, or tender documentation.
  • Good understanding of enterprise IT environments, networks, cloud platforms, APIs, and software architectures.
  • Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect technical capabilities with measurable customer value.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, events, and demonstrations.

Cybersecurity KnowledgeCandidates should be familiar with several of the following areas:

  • Application Security, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and API security.
  • Vulnerability Management and Continuous Security Monitoring.
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence and threat intelligence platforms.
  • External Attack Surface Management.
  • SIEM, SOC, SOAR, and incident response processes.
  • Cloud and infrastructure security.
  • Software supply-chain security, SBOM, and dependency risk.
  • Threat modelling and security architecture.
  • Penetration testing and security assessment methodologies.
  • Risk management and cybersecurity compliance.

Nice to Have• Previous experience as a Presales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Security Consultant, or Security Architect.

  • Experience delivering live cybersecurity product demonstrations.
  • Experience designing and running proofs of concept.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, SonarQube, Snyk, MISP, OpenCTI, Splunk, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of containerised environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps.
  • Relevant cybersecurity or cloud certifications.
  • Fluency in English.

What Makes Someone Successful in This RoleYou do not need to know every cybersecurity technology from day one. You do need to be curious, technically credible, commercially aware, and comfortable taking ownership.

The right person can listen carefully, ask the right questions, understand the real customer problem, and turn a complex technical solution into a clear and convincing proposal.

  • The opportunity to work on modern cybersecurity products and real-world security challenges.
  • Direct collaboration with engineering, product, security, and business teams.
  • Exposure to customers and projects across Greece and Europe.
  • A role with significant ownership and the ability to influence both product development and commercial strategy.
  • Continuous professional development in cybersecurity, solution architecture, and technical sales.
  • A collaborative environment where good ideas can quickly become real solutions.
  • Competitive compensation based on skills and experience.
