JOB SUMMARY
The AVP Business Analyst Management serves as the primary operational partner and facilitator for the CEO of Bci Miami. This role acts as a strategic multiplier for the CEO, driving institutional governance, business performance monitoring, strategic alignment with Head Office, and executive communications. The position ensures the CEO’s strategic priorities are executed across all branch business units and support functions efficiently and accurately.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executive Governance & Operating Cadence (Gobernanza y Seguimiento de Gestión Ejecutiva en coordinación con Finanzas)
- Coordinate and prepare the quarterly and annual Balance Scorecard (BSC) and production goals using SMART methodology; track and analyze branch performance metrics across all business units.
- Lead the review and reporting of the annual budget and interim financial forecasts, partnering with Treasury, Finance, and Head Office to analyze variances against actuals.
- Organize, document, and manage executive committee meetings (Management Meeting), strategy sessions, and management reviews; capture key action items and hold department heads accountable for timely delivery.

- Serve as the primary analytical liaison for key decision-makers between the Bci Miami Branch and Bci Head Office (Santiago / International Division).
- Executive Communications & Strategic Reporting (Comunicaciones y Reportes CEO)
- Prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations and briefing materials for CEO Town Halls, Regulatory meetings (FED/OFR), Head Office Executive Board reviews, and internal leadership summits.
- Conduct forward-looking financial and operational analysis to support CEO decision-making, synthesizing complex data into clear strategic insights.
- Manage special management requests, high-priority inquiries, and urgent business analysis tasks across commercial, risk, and operational divisions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Process Alignment
- Support Department Heads (Personal Banking, Corporate, Credit, Operations, Compliance) in removing operational bottlenecks and aligning cross-departmental initiatives with overall branch objectives.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend process improvement initiatives to elevate branch operational efficiency and decision-making speed.
- The duties of the position as “adjunto” :
- Support in analyzing business performance to identify trends, detect errors, review financial results against budget, and evaluate the risk to the bank.
- Provide analysis, recommendations and support regarding the general management of the branch including forward-looking insight and decision support
- Generate regular analytical reports (dealing with urgent issues including loans, credit lines, and account setup) and special requests for financial data and analyses supporting the Branch’s and banks business objectives. Ensure accurate and timely response to key decision makers at the Branch and Head Office.
- Participate in the review and reporting of the annual budget and interim forecasts throughout the year supporting the CEO.
- Coordinate and prepare production objectives and Balance Scorecard (BSC) methodology objectives, ensure prepared accurately (“SMART”). Subsequently, monitor BSC. Collect and analyze data, ensure accuracy and propose results with respect to employees performance against objectives. Prepare and consolidate metrics used to evaluate employees’ performance metrics for compensation as well as Branch wide performance
- Establish methodology and report monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
- Participate in, Collect, summarize, analyze and help monitor the Branch’s strategic plans and goals and the related reporting to Head Office and participate in the strategy meetings taking notes and commenting.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for quarterly town halls, for regulators, Head Office managers and other as needed
- Review, recommend and support the implementation of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness initiatives throughout the Branch
- Support various Department Heads as may be needed in line with the above objectives.
Other Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools required.
- Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish
- Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
- Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
- Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
- Travel as required
- Provide coverage for other positions as requested
- Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In the performance of their duties, all Bci - Miami Branch staff members are required to comply with all state and federal regulatory and legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff members must comply with the Bci’s Personnel Manual and Code of Ethics and other policies of Bci which are either currently in place or which may become effective during the staff member’s employment.
PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
COMPUTER:
Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; moderate to advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and other banking applications needed to perform the functions of the position.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4-6 years experience of relevant experience in banking or related fields
