We're an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government. We are seeking a part-time Business Analyst to join our team. TCG is pleased to offer remote employment for this role.

US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst collaborates with the client to understand the structure, policies, and operation of the business. Performs needs assessments and cost/benefit analysis to align business initiatives with technology solutions. Works closely with end users to analyze, define, model, and document project requirements to be communicated to other team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Design and estimate system implementation timelines and costs
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team based on gathered requirements, and user experience/design artifacts.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing activities with user community
  • Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on Acceptance Criteria
  • Support users with application training and technical support
  • Facilitate Agile Scrum Ceremonies: Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to act as a liaison between testers, developers, client, and other stakeholders during all phases of development
  • Ability to facilitate customer requirements-gathering sessions
  • Clear communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Comfort collaborating with developers and other analysts to define system needs
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and contribute quickly to project requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize efforts in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a customer service-oriented personality
  • Initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with federal government customers
  • Familiarity with the design, development, and deployment of web applications
  • Experience or education related to Foreign / International Affairs

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
