Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing inspection of highly complicated parts, components and assemblies as received from vendors, suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Interpret customer drawing and plan for measurement inspection method
- Discuss with Engineering to design measurement fixture
- Coordinate and guide QC inspectors on handling measurement equipment
- Liaise with customer on MSA related matter
- Maintenance of measurement equipment and software master file
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Effectively communicating with the Operations Team (i.e., Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Design Engineering) regarding drawings on technical issues.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Participating in and driving continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge in Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Knowledge in Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT)
- Able to operate CMM and write CMM program
- Able to read and understand complex engineering drawing tolerances and GDT, and translate requirements to parts/assemblies, including knowledge of electrical schematic drawings and wire diagrams.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products to facilitate data collection, analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing methods and procedures
- Ability to read product drawings and translate product specifications into effective quality management plans
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideal candidates must possess Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Engineering (E&E) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a quality inspection position is required.
