Build the Market Leader in Satellite Analytics with us at LiveEO
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (ISR) (f/m/x) to own the product and delivery side of LiveEO's defence and intelligence business. Sektion 4 builds AI-based ISR capabilities for German and allied defence and intelligence customers: object and change detection in very high resolution satellite imagery, 3D terrain products derived from stereo imagery, and the analytics that turn imagery into decisions. You will run our customer-facing defence products end to end from a product management perspective including analytical products as well as end user applications. You will also build the roadmap that connects different customer timelines, our concept of operations and the actual maturity of our technical components into one plan that engineering and sales both work from. This role exists because our LiveEO engineers build world class AI models and your work will help to bring them into operations and roll them out to many more end users. We need someone who can say how an analyst does the job, write requirements a military user would recognise, and hold the line on what we ship.
LiveEO is a dynamic team that thrives on big challenges and fast learning cycles. We move quickly, stay curious, and genuinely enjoy building together. We are on a mission to break the "curse of Earth Observation": turning incredible satellite data into reliable, actionable decisions that people can trust and use in real operations on scale.
You will be part of Sektion 4, LiveEO's government-solutions product team. Sektion 4 owns its roadmap and delivers funded R&D projects and defence engagements end-to-end, from research through to production, and sets its own technical direction. You will work day to day with the team's ML engineergs, full-stack engineers and geospatial data egineers, and across LiveEO with sales, pre-sales and the teams building the Twinspector satellite programme. Externally you are in front of military and agency users, partners and integrators, in workshops, requirement sessions and user tests.
Tech stack & tools:• Linear (backlog, sprints)
- Confluence
- Google Workspace
- LiveEO's own ISR and analytics applications
- Figma
- QGIS and comparable viewers
- STAC-based imagery catalogs Data:
- very high resolution optical imagery
- synthetic aperture radar
- 3D surface models
- cloud and secure on-premise / air-gapped deployments
- agentic tools for a variety of work.
Your challenge
As Product Manager (f/m/x), you own what we build for defence and intelligence customers, and you are accountable for it reaching them.
- Own the ISR product: take our imagery intelligence application from working demonstrator to deployable product. Define the release scope, the deployment and support model for secure on-premise environments, and drive the first installation at a real user.
- Run the backlog: work with the engineering team in two-week sprints. Translate operational needs into written requirements and user stories, prioritise ruthlessly, cut scope when it is the right call, and keep the team pointed at what matters.
- Deliver defence projects end to end: own scope, milestones, deliverables and stakeholder communication for our customer-facing defence engagements, and take on new projects as the pipeline converts.
- Build and maintain the roadmap: reconcile project timelines, our concept of operations and component readiness into one roadmap that is used to set priorities, not to describe them afterwards.
- Be the ISR authority in the team: bring operational depth on the intelligence cycle, collection and tasking, and imagery exploitation. Be the person engineering asks how an analyst would really use this, and the person sales asks what we can credibly claim.
- Work with users and customers: run workshops and user sessions, gather and structure feedback, demonstrate the product, and support bids and proposals with operational substance.
Your profile
- Professional ISR, GEOINT or IMINT background: Bundeswehr, the intelligence community, defence procurement, or an ISR role in industry.
- Real operational fluency in the intelligence cycle, collection and tasking, and how imagery products are produced and consumed at a staff.
- Proven ability to translate operational needs into written requirements that engineers can build from. Track record of driving work to a deadline across dependencies you did not control.
- German at native or fully fluent level, and professional English.
- German or European citizenship and eligibility to obtain a German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung).
- Willingness to work on-site in Berlin, hybrid with at least two days per week in the office, and to travel within Germany to customers and users.
- You take ownership and proactively push work forward.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate smoothly within and across teams.
- Pragmatic mindset: you balance operational ambition with what can actually be shipped.
- You enjoy working with complexity and turning ambiguity into structure.
- Product management or product ownership experience: backlog, sprint cadence, release scoping is a plus.
- Project management experience in defence or publicly funded programmes (national, EU, NATO) is a plus.
- Experience writing CONOPS, operational requirements or capability documents is a plus.
- Familiarity with satellite imagery, remote sensing, or AI and machine learning products is a plus.
- Experience delivering software into secure on-premise or air-gapped environments is a plus.
- An existing valid German security clearance (SÜ2 / SÜ3) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of NATO standards and interoperability for imagery and geospatial data is a plus.
Your Benefits
- The opportunity to create a product that can improve business processes and lives across the globe.
- Flexible working hours and hybrid work model - we trust our employees to get their work done while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- We empower employees to drive their own career development, take initiative and have the freedom to be creative and bold.
- Not an overtime culture - we take care that overtime is done only as a necessity and always offset with time off and rest.
- A collaborative and learning environment - frequent internal workshops, knowledge sharing sessions, journal clubs and hackathons.
- Office located in the centre of Berlin Kreuzberg with free fruit, nuts and drinks.
- Potential to participate in the employee stock option program.
- Urban Sports membership and BVG subsidy, corporate pension program.
- A diverse and vibrant international environment of 30+ different nationalities
