Accountabilities

• Build and deliver high-quality mobile experiences: Develop, maintain, and optimize production-ready mobile applications using React Native, ensuring intuitive interactions, responsive performance, and a consistent user experience.

• Own features from discovery to launch: Take responsibility for the entire product development lifecycle, from identifying customer problems and defining technical solutions to implementation, release, measurement, and iteration.

• Collaborate on product strategy: Partner with product managers and designers early in the development process to understand customer needs, challenge assumptions, refine requirements, and propose effective solutions.

• Develop data-driven experiences: Integrate APIs and real-time data into mobile interfaces, making informed decisions about state management, rendering, application architecture, and performance.

• Drive measurable product improvements: Use customer feedback, behavioral insights, metrics, and experimentation to evaluate feature effectiveness and continuously improve customer journeys.

• Maintain engineering excellence: Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering standards that improve application quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.

• Leverage AI-assisted development: Use AI-powered engineering tools to accelerate implementation, exploration, and debugging while maintaining responsibility for code quality and technical decisions.

• Promote cross-functional ownership: Work effectively across engineering, product, and design disciplines, helping the team deliver meaningful customer outcomes rather than simply completing predefined tasks.

Requirements

• Professional experience: Demonstrated experience building and shipping production applications with React Native, including the ability to make sound architectural and implementation decisions in a modern mobile codebase.

• Product-oriented engineering: A strong product mindset, with the ability to understand customer problems, challenge requirements constructively, and translate ambiguous needs into effective technical solutions.

• End-to-end ownership: Experience taking features through discovery, technical design, development, launch, performance evaluation, and ongoing improvement.

• Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of mobile application development, API integrations, dynamic or real-time data, state management, rendering, performance optimization, and software architecture.

• Analytical thinking: Ability to use product metrics, experimentation, and customer behavior to assess the impact of engineering decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with product managers and designers and contribute to shared decisions.

• English proficiency: Effective written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration within a globally distributed, remote-first team.

• AI proficiency: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude, with the judgment to use them responsibly while retaining ownership of implementation quality.

• Adaptability and initiative: A proactive, versatile approach to problem-solving, comfort with loosely defined challenges, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across technical boundaries.

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, trading, payments, or other financial technology environments.

• Knowledge of financial products, investing, trading workflows, or customer needs in digital financial services.

• Experience building applications that rely on streaming or rapidly changing data.

• Familiarity with web development or broader frontend engineering in addition to mobile development.

• Experience working in startups or smaller technology teams with close product and design collaboration.

• Native mobile development experience with Swift or Kotlin and an understanding of when native implementation is appropriate.

• A track record of improving mobile application performance, responsiveness, and reliability across different devices.

• Demonstrated success translating ambiguous product challenges into shipped features with measurable customer impact.
