Nextpower is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our Finance team in our Shanghai office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the annual business planning process, ensuring adherence to established timelines and methodologies for the annual operating plan and periodic financial forecasts across assigned business units and locations.
  • Manage the monthly accrual process and forecast updates to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain weekly budget tracking dashboards to monitor spending and financial performance.
  • Partner closely with Operations, R&D, and other business functions to enhance month-end close and forecasting processes.
  • Perform comprehensive variance analyses by comparing forecasts against the annual plan, prior forecasts, and actual financial results, providing meaningful insights into business performance.
  • Prepare financial and operational performance reports, partnering with the Accounting team and cross-functional stakeholders to identify key business drivers and trends.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate operating expenses, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, analysis templates, and reporting tools to improve forecasting accuracy and drive accountability for Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects.
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses, scenario modeling, and strategic initiatives as required by management.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting, preferably in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Experience with Hyperion and Anaplan is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of capital expenditures (CapEx) and fixed asset accounting.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset.
