About the role
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our product team and own design for one of our product areas. Working closely with a Product Manager and Engineering Lead, you'll use your UX, UI and research skills across the full design process — from discovery through to final, production-ready UI.
Purplebricks has led the way in changing estate agency, helping tens of thousands of customers buy, sell, and let property through our online platform.
What you'll do
- Work within one, or more, multidisciplinary teams, helping shape the direction of your product area and delivering well-defined solutions to complex design challenges
- Own the end-to-end design process within your team, from initial discovery through to final UI
- Work closely with engineers to ensure smooth hand-off and quality of agreed design solutions
- Run discovery and research activities to uncover opportunities and shape product requirements
- Communicate clearly and confidently, presenting evidence-backed solutions to senior stakeholders and colleagues across the business
What we're looking for
- 4+ years' experience in product design or an adjacent role
- Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team –
juggling priorities and pivoting when needed
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates your design experience, skills, thinking and approach
- Strong UX and UI skills, including prototyping, Figma and working within a design system using mobile first approach
- Ability to work within constraints and align with business needs
- Proven skills in data, analytics, user testing and other research methods to evidence design decisions
- You can work with in a team but are also independent – unblocking your own problems, balancing your workload, and prioritising based on business value
Preferred — a bonus, not a requirement
- Mobile app design (iOS and Android)
- Accessibility knowledge (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Property, fintech, or marketplace experience
