Business Unit
WeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.
What the Role Entails
- Design and optimize end-to-end safety frameworks, including policies, workflows, and rule engines, to safeguard user accounts while continuously enhancing overall user experience and minimizing friction.
- Leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to identify behavioral patterns, detect anomalies, and proactively uncover malicious activities across the WeChat ecosystem.
- Develop and iterate fraud detection strategies, including risk signals, feature engineering, and rule-based / model-driven approaches to effectively identify and mitigate spam, abuse, and fraudulent accounts.
- Build, deploy, and maintain scalable machine learning models for real-time risk detection, ensuring high precision and recall while adapting to evolving threat patterns.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and risk teams to translate data insights into production-ready safety solutions, ensuring alignment between detection capability, system performance, and business goals.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize model performance, balancing trade-offs between user experience and risk control through A/B testing, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Stay ahead of emerging fraud patterns and adversarial behaviors, incorporating new data signals and advanced modeling techniques (e.g., graph-based detection, LLM-assisted analysis) to strengthen detection capabilities.
Who We Look For
- Minimum 2 years of work experience equipped with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics or similar quantitative field
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders in a way they can easily understand and appreciate.
- Experience on building machine learning or deep learning solutions
- Good knowledge of Python programming language, C/C++/Go programming language is preferred
- Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with good communication and presentation skills, able to translate between business and technical audiences
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin to deal with international stakeholders and stakeholders who are based in HQ
